How Airport Self-Service Pickup Works

We know your schedule doesn’t always line up with ours — that’s exactly why we offer airport self-service pickup. If you’re flying into Vancouver (YVR), you can arrange to have your rental vehicle waiting for you at the airport, even outside our regular business hours.

Here’s everything you need to know before choosing this option.

What is the Airport Self-Service Fee?

A one-time Airport Self-Service Fee of $90 applies to every airport pickup booking. This fee covers the cost of our team arranging, staging, and coordinating the vehicle delivery to YVR on your behalf.

  • Non-refundable once the vehicle has been delivered to the airport.
  • It is separate from your rental rate and any parking fees.

Parking Fees — What You Need to Know

Because your vehicle is parked at YVR while it waits for you, airport parking fees apply. These fees are set by the Vancouver Airport Authority and are passed on to you at cost — we do not mark them up.

If you choose to return (drop-off) the vehicle at YVR, the final parking fee plus applicable taxes will be charged to your rental after the vehicle is collected.

YVR parking is billed in 30-minute increments, up to a daily maximum:

Parking charges are calculated from the time the vehicle is dropped off at YVR to the time you exit the parking lot.

Planning tip: pick up your vehicle the same day it’s delivered to avoid additional charges.

Our Two Daily Drop-Off Windows

  • Morning: 9:00 AM — ready by 9:30 AM
  • Afternoon: Before 5:00 PM

We cannot guarantee exact drop-off times. If your flight arrives outside these windows, your vehicle will be waiting from the nearest earlier drop-off.

How to Confirm Your Pickup

  1. Book your rental and select Airport Self-Service Pickup
  2. Choose your drop-off window
  3. Receive confirmation email
  4. Go to designated parking area
  5. Collect keys
  6. Exit parking lot
